DESCRIPTION:Tactical Penguin League Nights\nEvery Friday at 7:00 PM | Tactical Penguin \nReady to put your shooting skills to the test? Tactical Penguin League Nights are a weekly competitive shooting event in Layton featuring Accushoot digital target drills\, handicapped scoring\, cash payouts\, and a fun environment for experienced shooters looking to compete and improve. \nLeague Nights are designed for shooters who want to take their Accushoot experience to the next level. While our Accushoot Open Houses provide a welcoming environment for new and experienced shooters alike\, League Nights give more experienced shooters an opportunity to compete in a structured weekly competition (and earn some extra cash). \nWeekly Accushoot Shooting Competition\nLeague Nights begin Friday\, August 28\, 2026\, and continue every Friday. \n\nSign-up deadline: 6:55 PM\nSafety briefing: 7:00 PM\nQualifications & handicap: 7:05 PM\nCompetition: Immediately following qualifications\nHard stop: 9:00 PM\n\nAll entry fees must be paid by the 6:55 PM sign-up deadline. \nIf competition must end at 9:00 PM\, only scores from the first round will count toward the final results. \nHow League Night Works\nEach competition features three different Accushoot digital shooting drills. Competitors shoot each drill twice\, with their best score from each drill counting toward their final score. \nThe competition consists of: \n\nTransition Drill\nBFM Drill\n4eats Drill\n\nThe drills are time-based\, with penalties added as additional time. Your final score is the combined time from your three best drill attempts\, after handicap adjustments. \nThe lowest cumulative time wins. \nHandicapped Scoring\nTactical Penguin League Nights use a handicap system to help create a competitive experience for shooters with different skill levels. \nYour handicap is determined by your performance on the TP League Night Qualification Drill on Accushoot. Penalty time from the qualification drill is divided by two and applied as a deduction to your scores. \nFor example\, if you receive 6 seconds of penalties\, your handicap would be -3 seconds. \nShooters only need to establish a handicap during their first League Night\, but competitors may requalify each week if they choose. \nLeague Night handicap procedures may be adjusted after the first few competitions as the format is evaluated. \nRegistration & Prize Payouts\nEach competitor pays: \n\n$15 Tactical Penguin registration fee\n$10 cash prize pot\n\nThe standard prize payout is: \n\n\n\nPlace\nPayout\n\n\n\n\n1st Place\n70% of prize pot\n\n\n2nd Place\n30% of prize pot\n\n\n\nMonthly Alternate Prize\nOn a random League Night competition of each month\, first place will have the option to choose between the normal cash payout or an alternate prize. \nIf the first-place winner chooses the alternate prize: \n\n\n\nPlace\nPayout\n\n\n\n\n1st Place\nAlternate Prize\n\n\n2nd Place\n100% of prize pot\n\n\n\nIf the first-place winner chooses the cash payout instead\, the standard 70%/30% payout remains in effect and the alternate prize rolls over to the following month. \nCompetition Requirements\nAll competitors must: \n\nSign the required waiver\nCreate an Accushoot account\nSign in each week\nPay all entry fees before the 6:55 PM registration deadline\n\nCash buy-ins will be collected and secured by the competition manager. \nCompetition Rules\nSafety and sportsmanship are the priority.
