NFA Tax Stamp Repeal

What You Need to Know

The federal tax stamp requirement for NFA-regulated items has officially been repealed. This is a major update for firearm owners, and we’re here to make the transition smooth and clear. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions, details about purchasing moving forward, and a full list of affected products.

What’s Changed?

The repeal removes the $200 tax stamp requirement for eligible NFA items. This means purchases are faster, more affordable, and far less complicated. However, background checks and federal approval processes still apply.

Affected Products

The repeal impacts the most commonly purchased NFA categories:
- Suppressors
- Short-Barreled Rifles (SBRs)
- Short-Barreled Shotguns
- Certain AOWs (Any Other Weapons)
These items can now be purchased without paying the federal tax stamp fee.

Purchase Process

Buying an NFA item is now simpler:

1. Choose your NFA product
2. Complete the required ATF forms (trust or individual)
3. Submit fingerprints and background check
4. Wait for ATF approval, now without the tax stamp fee
5. Pick up your item once approved

We’re here to assist at every step.
