Chamber and fit barrel- We precisely machine the chamber to match a specific cartridge and carefully thread, headspace, and align the barrel to the receiver. This ensures the cartridge seats correctly, the bolt locks up safely, and the rifle operates accurately and reliably.

Blueprint barrel- Blueprinting a barreled action is the process of truing and precisely machining the rifle’s critical components—such as the receiver face, bolt lugs, bolt face, and threads—so they are perfectly aligned and square with the bore. By bringing these parts into exact specification and concentricity, the gunsmith improves consistency, safety, and overall accuracy. This is the difference between a 3-5 MOA gun and a sub 1 MOA gun.

Add crown or recrown- Crowning a barrel is the process of precisely machining the muzzle’s end so it is perfectly square and symmetrical to the bore. A properly cut crown protects the rifling and ensures escaping gases exit evenly around the bullet, which helps maintain accuracy and consistency.

Thread barrel- Threading a barrel involves precisely cutting threads on the muzzle so accessories like muzzle brakes and suppressors can be securely attached. The threads must be held to extremely tight tolerances and cut perfectly concentric to the bore to ensure the device aligns exactly straight; even slight misalignment can cause accuracy issues or, in the case of suppressors, dangerous baffle strikes.

Chop barrel- Chopping a barrel is the process of cutting it to a desired length, typically as a first step before threading or recrowning. It’s critical that the cut is made perfectly square to the bore and finished properly, since any unevenness at the muzzle can compromise accuracy and prevent subsequent threading or crowning from being concentric and correctly aligned.
