Vortex’s Spitfire AR 1x Prism Scope combines all the best features of a red dot/reflex sight and traditional riflescopes. Unlike red dot/reflex sights that project a reticle onto glass, the Spitfire AR Scope uses a glass-etched reticle. This configuration eliminates the star bursting effect from common astigmatism, and also allows the scope to be used with or without the red/green illumination – thus allowing the sight to continue to be used without batteries. The reticle itself is the DRT (Dual Ring Tactical) – a reticle design optimized for fast shooting at close range. The dual ring design pulls the user’s eye into instant alignment with the reticle center and target to accommodate rapid, intuitive target acquisition/engagement.
