New for 2023, the Vortex Razor HD 4000 GB delivers all the ballistic data you need in the palm of your hand. It comes equipped with a magnesium alloy hosing coated in rubber armor, giving the Razor HD 4000 GB outstanding durability without any unnecessary weight. One of the Razor HD 4000 GB’s most advanced features is the integrated GeoBallistics Solver as well as the Ballistics (BAL) mode. These advanced features take into account environmental factors and variables such as cartridge and firearm data to calculate a corrected ballistic solution with drop and wind corrections directly in the rangefinder’s display. The Razor HD 4000 GB features onboard sensors to detect humidity and temperature, while other environmental factors like wind can either be entered manually or can connect to external devices like Kestrel weather meters to receive the data. The Razor HD 4000 GB comes pre-loaded with three of the most common ballistics profiles – .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .223/5.56 – but custom profiles can be added for fine tuning your corrections.

In addition to its advanced ballistic solving capabilities, the Razor HD 4000 GB is outfitted with four different target modes. Normal mode is the primary mode, and displays the strongest range result. First mode displays the closest range when ranging, a useful feature when ranging a target that’s in front of larger, more reflective targets. Last mode displays the distance of the farthest target captured, and is good for targets obstructed by other objects. ELR mode is optimized for targets at extreme distances, and uses a slightly longer response time for greater accuracy. Other features of the Razor HD 4000 HD include Wind Bearing Mode, which Utilizes the on-board compass to keep track of wind direction regardless of the direction the user is facing. This mode is ideal if wind is coming from an odd angle, varying greatly in direction and speed, or you are frequently changing position and direction. In addition, the Razor HD 4000 GB is outfitted with a tripod adaptor and Vortex’s exclusive HD optical system.
